Dario Fo

Dario Fo
Accidental Death of an Anarchist
Darrio Fo writes plays which often have a serious message underlining the comical farce.
Often doesn’t give his characters names just titles using characteristics: ‘sports jacket’, ‘maniac’.
One of his plays have 2 different endings which are both played out to the audiences as possibly resolutions.
Massive characters – very comical and uses the Ideas of Commedia Dell’Arte as its inspiration for the oversized stereotyped characters and the silliness.
Uses the farcical tone to make political stabs on the world through comedy – Darrio Fo yard the play to point out how much he disliked the politically elite.
